I was having a conversation with someone the other day, and I feel the need to share it with people who might appreciate the sheer ridiculousness of one statement uttered, like I do.
For those of you who don't know, April 25th was the national day of silence [link].
Here goes:
Him: Did you do the Day of Silence thing today?
Me: Me? No. I don't think I could stay silent for a whole day.

Him: One of my friends was completly trashing the fags who weren't talking today. It was so funny.

I have a newfound respect for people who don't like their pictures taken, because most of the time its them who take the best pictures. Or at least thats what I've found.
I think it's because they don't have to 'act' to be someone else in front of the camera. People who love their pictures taken (ie. me) always want to look their best, and try to ham it up for the camera all the time.
But from behind the lens, I would rather a subject brooding over the fact that their getting their picture taken in the first place than someone who knows exactly how to show themselves in a picture. It's not raw. It's not real.
